Interiority and presence
Through the portrait, I attach myself to what stands behind the features.
Beyond the likeness, I seek a presence, an interiority, a silent vibration.
The look, the posture, the light become anchor points to reveal a sensitive depth. Each portrait is a meeting, a space of dialogue between the model and the pictorial gesture.
I paint inhabited faces, crossed by a discreet emotion, sometimes indefinable. Human presences that are offered without being fully revealed, leaving the viewer the freedom to feel, to interpret, to approach.
